Cloud gaming is a great way to enjoy some high-octane games while traveling or commuting. PlayStation's version is called Remote Play, and you can use it as long as you have a console at home. With these easy steps, you'll get going in no time.

How to setup Remote Play for PS5 on Android

1. First, set up your PS5 console.

From the home screen, select Settings > System > Remote Play, and then turn on Enable Remote Play.

Change an additional setting that will enable you to start PS Remote Play when you leave your PS5 in rest mode.

Select Settings > System > Power Saving > Features Available in Rest Mode. Then select the checkboxes for Stay Connected to the Internet and Enable Turning on PS5 from Network.

2. Prep your mobile device for Remote Play.

Download the PS Remote Play app from the Google Play Store.

Log in with the same account, and in settings, enable Mobile Data.

Once you're on the app, login, and you can access your cloud games if you have the Ultimate pass.

3. Start Remote Play from your mobile device.

Now, while your PS5 is in Rest Mode, you can use the Remote Play on your phone, and start the session. Select the console at the beginning, and you should be in.

4. Configure controls.

Touch the lower right corner (the three dots) to open up some button configuration options. The menu will unfold and show you some more buttons that you are used to seeing on your controller, such as CREATE (Share), Options, and more.

You can close out of the menu by pressing the X that was in the same spot as the three dots.

  • Settings Change settings such as screen orientation and how the controller buttons display. The control panel is also where you'll quit PS Remote Play.

  • Create Button Perform the same functions as the controller's create button.

  • PS Button Display the control center of your PS5 console.

  • Microphone Status Select Mic on / Mic off to turn the microphone on or off.

  • Options Button Perform the same functions as the controller's options button.

  • Close Close the control panel.
